Tomcat1066, Editor, Contributor, Geek-in-Chief

Tom was a journalism student before leaving school to answer a higher calling, the United States Navy where he served as a Hospital Corpsman.  It was during this time that he first got the chance to play Dungeons & Dragons, as well as a host of other game systems.  Since then, he’s studied medieval armor, weapons and warfare in an effort to make him a better role player.  He’s married with one young son, a geek-in-training.  He serves as a scout leader and is a real life soccer dad.  In his spare time, he enjoys shooting firearms and backpacking.

Liambic, Contributor

Liambic began, as so many did, with a Nintendo Entertainment System and a patch of woods nearby. From these roots grew his simultaneous interest in video games and roleplaying. Starting with AD&D in his middle-school years, and doing his best to keep up with the burgeoning console wars as time marched on (and with a healthy literary appetite), he expanded his experience to include a myriad of game and gaming systems of both the virtual and pen-and-paper varieties. He continues these hobbies with zeal, specializing in PC games, 3.5 D&D, and 2nd ed. White Wolf. In betwixt this he enjoys the outdoors, exploring haunted locations, and dreaming of being able to roleplay a character for more than 5 sessions before the DM gets tired of running.

Lilyth, Contributor

Lilyth’s downward spiral into geekdom began early on in her childhood, though she wasn’t aware at the time.  She was never quite right, preferring to play with a handful of Ninja Turtle action figures and a large toy box full of LEGOs and K-Nex, rather than with Barbies and Pretty Pretty Princess.  Slowly outdoor play full of mud pies and tree-climbing migrated indoors in front of a Sega Genesis, and it all went downhill from there.  Though she tried to ignore the nerdiness for most of her adolescence, there were still the secret online roleplaying sessions, and reading of Chronicles of Narnia for AR points rather than whatever other mess the other kids were reading.

Today Lilyth fully embraces her lust for all things geek, from tabletop roleplaying to fangirlism over Bleach characters to mistaking bushes in real life for Silverleaf plants from World of Warcraft.
